First of all congratulations are in order to Frau von der Leyen for being re-elected with +400 votes as President of the Commission, proving wrong all the political pundits and commentators and indeed now she has a much stronger mandate than before.
She has proven time and again in her first stint as President of the Commission that she always rises to the challenges and the occasions that arise such as Corona and the atrocious criminal and totally unprovoked war of aggression by Russia on the Ukraine.
She always places the interests of our EU first and has put the EU firmly on the world stage as a very important international global geopolitical player to be reckoned with. Standing up to the threat of economic dependence on totalitarian communist China by resolutely placing de-risking on the table as indeed our economic independence in Europe is at risk by the utterly unacceptable economic practices of the Chinese communist party.
By resolutely condemning and unconditionally standing up for the brave and heroic people of Ukraine against the murderous criminal Russian state, she has clearly shown her mettle for the lady has without any question what it takes to stand up to the war criminal Czar Putin. Led by her strong convictions and her unquestionable belief in the values of our Western European civilization, she is the ideal person to lead our EU in these dangerous and uncertain times for not in more than a generation have our European values, our European civilization, our European way of life come under so much pressure. Come to think of it; as President of the Commission she is the right person in the right place at the right moment to protect us – our way of life, values and civilization – against the criminal minds leading Russia, communist China and of course theocratic Persia.
Frau von der Leyen is the solid rock, the anchor for our Europe at a time when politics in too many European nations are in rogue and unchartered waters. How is France going to weather the inconclusive legislative election, what about the never ending saga of internal squabbles in the Ampel – traffic light – governing coalition in Deutschland, how about the Netherlands in the hands of Geert Wilders, not to mention Hungary under the sway of Orban ? Far too many uncertainties in too many member states of our EU at exactly the wrong moment.
What is going to happen with our BFF the USA come the election in November? Happily we Europeans can now rest assured that our common interests are in a pair of safe hands in the foreseeable future, the safe hands of Frau Ursula von der Leyen.
